CROM CASTLE. AKA and see "Cremonia," "Heart of Emania (The)." Irish, Air (3/4 time). G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The air was published as "Heart of Emania (The)" by John Mulholland in his Ancient Irish Airs (1810). However, the melody was earlier published in Dublin by the Neals in 1724 as "Cremonia," later attributed by collector George Petrie to harper Turlough Carolan (his is the only source to make the attribution, and by what evidence is unknown).
