MACGREGOR'S SEARCH. AKA - "McGregor's Search." Scottish, March (3/4 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB' (McLachlan) From Daniel Dow's Ancient Scots Music (c. 1775). Dow was a teacher of music in Edinburgh in the 18th century. The tune is associated with 'the landless clan', the MacGregors.
