NANCY [4]. AKA - "Nancy Taylor's Reel." English, Reel. England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. Another four-part English tune named Nancy, this time a reel composed by Northumberland fiddler Willy Taylor [1] (1916-2000) in honor of his wife. Taylor was an elderly man when "revival" concertina player Alistair Anderson introduced Taylor, Northumbrian piper Joe Hutton and harmonica player Will Atkinson to the folk circuit in the 1980's under the moniker "The Shepherds." In fact, Taylor really did rear livestock in the Northumbrian hills.
