NIEL GOW'S COMPLIMENTS (RETURNED) TO MR. MARSHALL. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by the great Inver, Perthshire, fiddler-composer Niel Gow (1727-1807), for the younger contemporary fiddler-composer William Marshall (1748-1833) of Fochabers, renowned for his strathspey compositions.
