HOBO('S) JIG. Canadian, Jig. Canada; Eastern Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia. A Major ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. "Composed by the late Ward Allen, an old-time fiddler from Eastern Ontario" (Gibbons). Phillips' parts are reversed from Gibbons'.

Source for notated version: Frank Lowery (Prince George, British Columbia), who learned it from Robert Montgomery (Oyama, B.C.) and Calvin Vollrath (Edmonton, Alberta) c. 1980 [Gibbons].
