BACK OF THE CHANGE [2], THE. Irish, Reel (whole time). D Mixoldyian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune is contained in vol. 2 (p. 153) of the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of County Cork cleric and uilleann piper James Goodman. The tune is a different one than "Back of the Change (1) (The)," yet retains much of the character of that melody (or vice-versa), and there is a decided structural resemblance.
