BEHIND THE HAYSTACK [2] (Taob Siar De'n Cruac-Feur). AKA and see "Munster Buttermilk (1)." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. A variant of "Behind the Haystack (1)." Paul de Grae finds the tune nearly identical to "Munster Buttermilk (1)" as printed by R.M. Levey in the latter 19th century, save that O'Neill's third part in "Behind the Haystack" is the one that begins "Munster Buttermilk," and the latter tune is in the key of 'D' rather than 'G' (except that the third part in 'Buttermilk', the second on O'Neill's 'Haystack', remains in 'G' [1].
