COTILLON [15]. French-Canadian, Cotillion (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Researcher Jean Duval notes the structural similarity with tunes from the west of France, and says that in the 1927 unpublished version of Boucher's collection the tune was labelled simply as "Danse." A version of the tune was recorded by the Quebec group Entreloupe on their album "Les choux pis des melons".
