FAIR LOVE OF MY HEART ("Gradh Geal Mochroidhe" or "Grá Geal Mo Chroí"). AKA and see "Bright Love of My Heart (1) (The)." Irish, Air (4/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Stanford-Petrie has three air of this name, and all different from the one given here" (Joyce). Phonetically the title reads: 'Gra gal machree'. The title appears in a list of tunes in his repertoire brought by Philip Goodman, the last professional and traditional piper in Farney, Louth, to the Feis Ceoil in Belfast in 1898 (Breathnach, 1997).
