HANDSOME YOUNG MAID(EN)S, THE. AKA – "Handsome Young Lasses." AKA and see "New York Jig (2)." Irish, Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by composer, pianist and fiddler Charlie Lennon (Rossinver) for the band De Danann as part of a 1986 suite of tunes entitled "An Island Wedding." The melody represents the bridesmaids on the day of the wedding.
