This untitled jig is contained in Book 3 of the large c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim piper and fiddler biography:Stephen Grier (c. 1824-1894). Grier researchers Fr. John Quinn and Conor Ward find it cognate with the tune family that includes "Dandy Jig (The)," "Galloping O'Hogan," "Kiernan's Jig," "Rakes of Clonmel (1)," "Take Care of My Cap," and "Tom Morrison's Favorite."
