MISS FORSYTH'S REEL--HUNTLY. AKA - "Miss Forsyth Huntly." Scottish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833). Moyra Cowie, in her book The Life and Times of William Marshall (1999) suggests that Miss Forsyth was the daughter of William Forsyth, who supplied kilts for the Black Watch and who helped raise men for the Marquis of Huntly’s regiment in 1790.
