MISS HUNTER’S HORNPIPE. English, Hornpipe. England, Northumberland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Tyneside fiddler and composer Biography:James Hill, probably named for Sarah Hunter, his wife. The tune appears in the 1840-1860 music manuscript collection compiled by William Hall Lister and Robert Lister (now in the Beamish Museum), where it is attributed to Hill by the Listers.
