MY DARLING CHILD. American, Reel (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune is unrelated to the similarly-titled "Darling Child," AKA "I'm My Momma's Darling Child," "Sweet Sixteen," "Chinky Pin," and "Too Young to Marry." It was in the repertory of Madison County, N.C., fiddler Woodrow Boone, whose family had learned it from a neighbor, "Old Man" Vestus Robinson.
