O LUD, GALS -- REEL. AKA - "O Lord, Gals." American, Reel (2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Blackface minstrel and song composer Dan Emmett wrote a song with a similar title, "O Lud, Gals, Gib Me &c.", but it is a different melody than the reel Coes printed.
