QUICK STEP 10th REGIMENT [2]. English, March (12/8 time). A Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The regiment was raised in 1685 and was called by the name of the succession of colonels who commanded it, until 1751 when the British army reorganized and the regiment received its number. The 10th Regiment of Foot [1] saw action during the American Revolutionary War at the Battle of Lexington and Concord, Battle of Bunker Hill, New York Campaign, Battle of Germantown, Battle of Monmouth and the Battle of Rhode Island. In 1778 they returned to England, and in 1781 the regiment was linked to the County of Lincolnshire for recruiting. See also Quick March 10th Regiment (2).
