REEL DU PÈRE FRANÇOIS. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The first two distinctive measures are shared with "St-Féréole." "Reel du Père François" was recorded in 1936 by the Chevaliers du Folklore, a group consisting of Tommy Duchesne (1909-1986) on accordion, with fiddler Albert Allard and guitarist Tony Ouellette. Virtual Gramophone also has the same recording listed being played by Robert Lemieux (fiddle) and Hector Charbonneau (accordion).
