ROBE BARRÉE (LA). AKA - "Striped Dress (The)." AKA and see “Ernestine," "Madame Etienne.” Cajun, Waltz. A blues-influenced waltz Recorded by accordion player Alphonse “Bois Sec” Ardoin with fiddler Canray Fontenot in 1966 in Mamou, Louisiana. Alphonse was the first cousin of famed accordion player Amédé Ardoin, of Eunice, Louisiana, who composed the tune (although it has also been credited to fiddler Dennis McGee).
