SALLY GRANT. Irish, Reel (whole time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Sally Grant" is contained in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of Sliabh Luachra musician D. Curtin (No 37, p. 14 [1]). It resembles some members of the large tune family that includes "Autumn Leaves," "Handsome Sally (1)," "Man of the House (The)," "Old Tom," "Through the Heather," "Ivy Leaf Reel (3)," "Day I Met Tom Moylan (The)," "Paddy Carthy's Reel (2)," and "Handsome Sally (3)," although there is wide variation among its members.
