SUGAR IN THE GOURD [12]. American, Reel (2/4 time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune, which is unlike other "Sugar in the Gourd" named tunes, is perhaps a distanced variant of "Cuckoo's Nest (4) (The)" AKA "Jacky Tar."
