SUTTON QUICKSTEP. AKA - "Sutton's Quick-step." American, Quickstep March (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. wikipedia:Sutton, Massachusetts, is a town in Worcester County, southwest of Greater Boston. In Elias Howe's time there were three mills, surrounded by agricultural land. The tune is probably associated with a local militia unit, whose drilling was popular in the 1840's.
