VIELLE VALSE DE LA LOUISIANE, LA. Cajun, Waltz. USA, Louisiana. Ambrose Thibodeaux learned this tune from Angélas LeJeune (born c. 1890), almost note for note by ear: "When I recorded it, we played it the same way. Angelas was like me, he liked that old waltz a whole lot" (quoted in Francois, 1990). The tune was also in the repertoire of Angélas's nephew Iry LeJeune (1928-1955).
