VIOLET TULLOCH'S HORNPIPE. Shetland, Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "This tune was written for Violet Tulloch who, in Tom (Anderson's) opinion, is one of the finest accompanists at the present time. She first started to play in Tom's Dance Band at weekends before she left school, and is an accomplished accordion player and pianist. She accompanies Aly Bain and Tom on their records "The Silver Bow" and "Shetland Folk Fiddling, vol. 2," and is also the accompanist on Willie Hunter's record. She has done many broadcasts and is in much demand for recordings and concerts" (Anderson).
