WEAVER'S HORNPIPE [2], THE. English, Triple Hornpipe (3/2 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This "old" or "triple" hornpipe was published by John Walsh in his Second Volume of the Compleat Country Dancing Master (London, 1735, p. 204) and by John Johnson in Wright's Compleat Collection of Celebrated Country Dances (London, 1740, p. 77). The title presumably has trade or guild associations.
