WEDDING BELLS WALTZ. Old-Time, Waltz. Recorded in Atlanta, Georgia, for OKeh records on March 15, 1929, by fiddler Bill Shores with guitarist Melvin Dupree and mandolinist Fred Locklear as Dupree's Rome Boys. According to Wayne W. Daniel (Pickin’ on Peachtree, 1990), “Shores was a native Alabamian who spent most of his life in the Rome, Georgia, area,” and was one of the lesser-known north Georgia fiddlers who recorded in the era.
