WOODLAND REVELS. English, Schottische or Two-Step (4/4 time). E Minor/G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part: ABC. Composer unknown, thought to be early 20th century due to the 'ragtime' elements in the melody. Barry Callaghan (2007) notes that it was “in the repertoire of the prize-winning Tadley (Hampshire) Band in 1924, and popularized by (the band) Flowers and Frolics in 1977.” The Tadley Band was a brass band from the Berkshire-Hampshire border.
