John Quinn suggests a possible link to Donnchadh Ruadh Mac Con Mara's poem “Aodh Ó Ceallaigh” in An tAthair Pádruig Breathnach's Sídh-Cheól vol. 2 (Dublin, 1926, pp. 118-119) which has the first line: “Ar maidin i ndé bhí camadáin scéil."
