BILL KATON'S TUNE. Old-Time, Breakdown. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Katon, or Caton, was an influential black fiddler from Missouri who unfortunately never recorded and is thus lost as a primary source. Sometimes played with parts reversed.

Source for notated version: Charlie Walden (Mo.) [Phillips].

Printed source: Phillips (Traditional American Fiddle Tunes), vol. 1, 1994; p. 24.
