The tune was composed by Selma Kaplan (Altamont, N.Y.) in 1982; "written for a friend, during a huge unexpected snow storm in April '82." Selma has worked for many years at WAMC, an NPR station serving Vermont, Massacusetts and New York, and is an occasional on-air personality.
