DARBY THE DRIVER (Diarmaid an Tiomaire/Tiomanuide). AKA and see "Bly's Jig," "Cronin's Favorite (2)," "Paddy Cronin's Jig (1)." Irish, Double Jig. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the related first strain of "John Naughton's Jig." The tune is originally Scottish, a composition of William Gow's (1751-1791), entitled "Mr. Charles Graham’s Welcome Home." William was the eldest son of Inver fiddler-composer Niel Gow, and was a bandleader in Edinburgh.
