DRUMLANRIG CASTLE. Scottish, Strathspey. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Drumlanrig 'Castle' is actually a grand country manor house in the baroque style located in Dumfries and Galloway, south-west Scotland. It is currently owned by the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry. Construction began in the late 17th century for the 1st Duke of Queensbury, William Douglas, on the site of earlier castles held by the Douglas's, and near still earlier Roman fortifications.
