EASTER TUESDAY [1]. English, Country Dance Tune (6/4 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The jig first appears in Henry Playford's Dancing Master, 9th Edition (1695) and in all subsequent editions through until the last, the 18th, published by John Young in 1728. It also appears in John Walsh's Compleat Country Dancing Master (London, 1718, reprinted in 1731).
