ELLIOT'S MINUET. AKA - "General Elliot's Minuet." American? English?, Minuet. The tune was preserved on several mechanical chime clocks manufactured in the late 18th century at New Windsor, Connecticut, by Daniel Burnap. It can also be found on Timothy Swan's Suffield, Conn., MS of 1777. “General Elliot’s Minuet” is also found on a musical clock, by maker Daniel Porter of Williamstown, Mass., in the 1790’s.
