ENCHANTED VALLEY [1] (An Gleann Draoideacta). Irish, "Very Slow" Air (2/4 time). G Dorian (O'Neill): E Minor (Stanford/Petrie). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Stanford (1902) notes this is a variant of "Oh fair John my love." Donegal fiddler and music researcher Caoimhin Mac Aoidh is of the opionion that the tune was likely composed by Francis O'Neill's collaborator Sgt. James O'Neill (no relation), a musically literate fiddler from County Down.
