FORKS OF REEDY. AKA and see "Three Forks of Reedy." American, Reel (cut time). USA, West Virginia. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB: AABB' (Phillips). Three Forks of Reedy is a place-name in Roane County, western West Virginia, several miles from mouth of Reedy Creek (a tributary of the Little Kanawha River) and sixteen miles south of Elizabeth. There is a small farming town called Reedy, at the confluence of the left, middle, and right forks of Reedy Creek, that was formerly known as Three-Forks-of-Reedy, but the community name was changed to Reedy in 1853. Reedy has lost population over the years, from a high of 405 in 1930 to 172 in 2016 (and dropping).
