FRANCIS BERT MACDONALD. Canadian, Jig. Canada, Cape Breton. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Cape Breton fiddler Elmer Briand (1922-1992). Briand grew up in an Acadian family on Cape Breton, and was also highly influenced by the Scottish music of his neighbors, even more when the family moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia in the late 1930's.
