GOLLOCHY'S FAREWELL. AKA and see "Doctor (1) (The)," "Balvenie Castle." Scottish, Strathspey. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Moyra Cowie (Life and Times of William Marshall, 1999) reports that the burn (stream) of Gollachy flows through the Parish of Rathven to the sea, where it exits between Portgordon and Buckie. According to Cowie, there once was a chalybeate spring on the burn at which people 'took the waters'. Composed by biography:William Marshall (1748-1833).
