HAPPY BOY SCHOTTISCHE. Old-time, Schottische. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The melody is the vehicle for the 1950's movie theme song "Ballad of Thunder Road." The schottische can also be heard in the 1940's movie "Commandoes Strike at Dawn," a movie of occupied Norway in World War II starring Paul Muni, played by an accordion band in the background of one scene.
