HARLIQUIN AIR. English, Air (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Perhaps the title refers to a melody or one of the songs in Thomas Arne's (1710-1778) pantomime Harlequin Restor'd, or Taste Alamode, written in 1736.
