HELL UP COAL HOLLER [1]. AKA - "Hell Up Coal Creek Holler." American, Reel (cut or 2/4 time). USA, West Virginia, southwest Virginia. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Reed): AA'BB' (Milnes). Gerry Milnes and Henry Reed's versions are similar, albeit with parts reversed. A different tune by this name is said to have been in eastern Kentucky fiddler Ed Haley's [1] (1885-1951) repertoire.
