In the repertoire of Lon Jordan of Farmingham, Arkansas. The melody appears as "Helter Skelter, or Over Sticks and Stones Galop" in Paul De Ville's The Concertina and How to Play It (New York, Carl Fischer, 1905). It was written in 1863 by German composer Carl Faust (1825-1892), and several editions were published in America. There is a version of it in the Haynes Family Manuscript from the 1860's & 1870's in Western Oregon.
