HUNT THE SQUIRREL [2]. AKA - "Hunting the Squirrel (1)." English, Morris Dance Tune (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (x4), AA. The tune was collected in the village of Headington, Oxfordshire, in England's Cotswolds. Versions #2, 3 and 4 are similar in some respects, different in others, but all retain the flavor of the original melody. "Hunt the Squirrel (1)" is perhaps the most distinct.

William Kimber, Headington Morris, 1906
