JOHN DOGHERTY'S (HORNPIPE). Irish, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. Despite the misspelling of his last name, O'Malley sources the tune to Donegal fiddler John Doherty, who recorded it on a tape for New York fiddler Lou Quinn (who copied it for Luke). O'Malley was not sure if Doherty composed it or not.
