MRS. GORDON OF BELLIE'S REEL [1]. AKA – “Mrs. Gordon of Belsies.” AKA and see "Dandaleith." Scottish, Strathspey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDDE (Marshall): AABBCDEEF (Athole, Gow). Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833), first printed in his 1781 collection (p. 9). A Scottish fiddler and composer, Marshall is most famous for his many fine strathspeys. He worked for much of his life for the Duke of Gordon as the Steward of his Household, and it is fortunate that the Duke was an enthusiastic supporter and patron of Marshall’s music.
