MRS. WILLS. Scottish, Strathspey. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by dancing master biography:George Jenkins, perhaps for the spouse of Alexander Wills, who, like Jenkins was a dancing master. The two were contemporaries and were the most famous dancing masters of turn-of-the-19th-century London. In addition to teaching the then-fashionable Scotch dances, Alexander Wills was also associated with popularizing the Irish style of dancing in London, publishing Ten Fashionable Irish Dances in 1800.
