TAYMOUTH HOUSE. AKA and see "Taymouth Castle (2)." Scottish, Reel. A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Surenne): AABBCCDD (McGlashan). "Taymouth House" is a reel the was printed by Alexander "King" McGlashan in his Collection of Reels (Edinburgh, c. 1786). It is perhaps the “Taymouth” whose appearance John Glen (1891) finds earliest in print in Daniel Dow's c. 1775 collection (Twenty Minuets and Sixteen Reels, p. 12).
