JOCKEY WAS THE BLYTHEST/BRAVEST LAD IN A' OUR TOWN. Scottish, Slow Quickstep. A Minor (Gow): C Minor (Mackintosh). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Appears in David Young's McFarlane Ms. (1740) in air-minuet-jig form, in a 1772 sheet by Mackintosh, and in the McLean Collection published by James Johnson in Edinburgh in 1772 (where it is ascribed to Robert Macintosh).
