ISLE OF SKYE [1]. Scottish, English; Reel and Country Dance Tune. B Flat Major (most versions): G Major (Kennedy): D Major (Aird, Cahusac, Riley, Wilson). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Aird, McGlashan, Surenne): AAB (most versions): AABB (Bremner). The tune was the vehicle for a country dance that enjoyed popularity in the very early 19th century in both England and Scotland[1]
