JAMES HILL'S REEL. English, Reel. England, Northumberland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABA. Composed by Tyneside fiddler and composer Biography:James Hill (c. 1811-1853), renowned for his hornpipe compositions. The untitled reel appears in the music manuscript collection [1] of William Hall Lister and Robert Lister of East Bolden, Northumberland, compiled from 1840-1860. The attribution to James Hill is from Jack Davidson's manuscript.
