JOHN RAWL JAMIESON. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Ky. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was known under this title by northestern Kentucky fiddler Buddy Thomas (1934-1974), who told Mark Wilson (Rounder Records) that it was named after an elderly man "who lived bock on Shouls on a ridge." The tune was also called by the 'Jamieson' title by Morris Allen, a mentor and sometime playing partner of Thomas.
